We visited Pearl Harbor National Memorial today. We thought this would be a very sad & somber place to visit but were surprised to learn how a sad time in our history can also be a place of hope & remembrance. We spent time in the Visitor Center Museum and learned the past histories. It's a beautiful place with many things to do. Perfect way to spend a day!
Then, we headed north to North Shore. On our way there, we stopped at Starbucks and had a quick lunch. North Shore is best known for its massive waves, attracting surfers from all around the globe. We stopped at an area with shops and restaurants. The sign of Hawaiis Best Shave Ice attracted us to check it out. We ordered our own shave ice with specific flavors.After we got back, we took a nap then headed back to that Korean guys shop again for more souvenirs. There is a Japanese restaurant near by, so we had Tempura Udon and Soba for dinner.We watched the sunset from our room's large open window, the sun was hidden behind a tall building. But, it was still a beautiful sight.
